Our Story – Built From the Ground Up

Established in 2013, Gymfix Australia is a proudly Australian-owned and operated small business that has grown into a highly successful and respected name within the commercial fitness industry. Built on a foundation of industry expertise, reliability and exceptional service, Gymfix Australia continues to grow and strengthen its reputation as a trusted provider of commercial gym equipment installation, servicing, maintenance and repairs.

Gymfix Australia is a business built from the ground up, driven by a passion for problem-solving, a strong mechanical background and a commitment to doing things properly.

Founder, Todd, has always had a natural ability for understanding how things work. Growing up around building and racing cars, Todd developed a passion for mechanics, engineering and finding solutions to complex problems. This passion eventually led him to Queensland, where he worked with a professional V8 Supercar racing team, gaining valuable experience in the design, fabrication, manufacturing and preparation of high-performance race cars.

With a desire to build something of his own, Todd eventually stepped away from the family business to pursue his ambition of becoming his own boss.

The idea for Gymfix Australia came from an unexpected place – the gym floor itself.

Having spent countless hours training and using gym equipment, Todd began recognising an opportunity within the fitness industry. Curious about how commercial gyms maintained their equipment, he started speaking with gym owners and managers, asking questions about their servicing and repair experiences, technician reliability and the challenges they faced keeping their equipment operational.

It quickly became clear that there was a genuine need for a reliable, knowledgeable and professional gym equipment service provider.

Recognising an opportunity to combine his mechanical expertise with his passion for fitness, Todd set out to create Gymfix Australia.

Determined to build the business on genuine technical knowledge and manufacturer-backed training, Todd personally contacted leading fitness equipment manufacturers and travelled interstate, at his own expense, to undertake specialised training and become an accredited technician across multiple equipment brands.

In 2013, Gymfix Australia was established.

What began as one man’s vision and determination has grown into a successful, family-owned Australian business, providing specialised commercial gym equipment installations, preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs.

Over the years, Todd has passed on his extensive knowledge and experience to a growing team of skilled technicians, maintaining the same high standards of workmanship and attention to detail that the business was founded upon.

Perhaps one of the things we’re most proud of is that Gymfix Australia’s growth has been built predominantly through word of mouth, trusted industry relationships and recommendations from satisfied customers and leading equipment manufacturers.

Today, Gymfix Australia continues to grow, working alongside some of the fitness industry’s most recognised brands and commercial gym operators.
