Gymfix Australia is a ten-year-old business owned and operated by Todd and Jess Cowie. They are the driving force behind its continued success and growth.

Todd has grown up around building and racing cars and has worked for a V8 supercar team in Queensland. He was involved in designing, fabricating, manufacturing, and preparing V8 supercars.

Todd left the family business to fulfil his desire to work for himself and be his own boss. His mechanical-mindedness and passion for exploring issues and problem-solving led to the creation of Gymfix.

The idea for Gymfix was born from many hours of training and using gym equipment. Todd explored common complaints and problems by asking gym club managers: who was responsible for their gym equipment’s repairs? Were they reliable? How often did they see these technicians? And were they any good?

Todd saw a niche market for this kind of business and decided it would suit his expertise perfectly. He contacted the manufacturers and flew to their headquarters (at his own expense) to be trained as a certified repairer for different fitness equipment brands. He has since shared his expertise with his team of professional technicians.

He has never advertised; success has come via word of mouth within the gym industry, manufacturers, and many happy customers.
